2258491583_f9c9eb3271_mIan North, principal podiatrist, completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Podiatry from Curtin University in 1995 and has subsequently completed a post-graduate diploma in Podiatry (Curtin University) and a Masters of Medical Science degree from the University of Western Australia, researching the effects of muscle stretching on joint mechanics.

Ian has been practising podiatry in Willetton since 1996, and has also worked as Senior Podiatrist for the Peel and Rockingham/Kwinana Health Service, where a large case load focused on diabetic foot disease .

He has also worked as Senior Podiatrist at the Rockingham Early Intervention Centre, dealing exclusively with paediatric foot pathologies, and has lectured undergraduate podopaediatrics at Curtin University (2001-2004).

Since 2004, Ian has been the team podiatrist for the Fremantle Dockers (AFL) football club, gaining a wealth of invaluable experience in lower limb biomechanics and sports medicine. Ian has been an invited presenter for workshops and lectures for Sports Medicine Australia in foot and lower limb conditions and is currently a sessional lecturer to post graduate  physiotherapy students at the University of Western Australia through the Centre for Musculosketal Studies.

Ian holds memberships with the Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine and Sports Medicine Australia.

When not working, Ian enjoys spending time with his family and is passionate about football and trail running.
